In a major coup for Intel, the chip giant has secured an exclusive partnership with Ubisoft to serve as the launch partner for the highly anticipated Star Wars Outlaws game. The collaboration will see Intel's latest 14th Gen Core processors optimized to deliver the best possible performance for the open-world Star Wars title, which promises to push the boundaries of what's possible on PC.

"This is a huge partnership for Intel, being able to combine the power and performance of our latest-gen Intel Core 14th Gen processors with the gaming excellence that Massive Entertainment is renowned for," said Roger Chandler, Intel vice president and general manager of the company's Enthusiast PC and Workstation Segment.

The optimizations go beyond just hardware, with Intel's engineers working closely with the development team at Ubisoft's Massive Entertainment studio to fine-tune the game's Snowdrop engine for Intel's hybrid CPU architecture. This includes improvements to CPU scheduling to fully leverage the strengths of both the high-performance P-cores and efficient E-cores found in 14th Gen chips.

"We've been hard at work with Intel to ensure that gamers are going to get a world-class experience when they're exploring the Outer Rim in Star Wars Outlaws on their PC," said Tobias Carlsson, technical director at Massive Entertainment.

The partnership also includes a game bundle promotion, where buyers of Intel's latest 14th Gen Core HX-series mobile processors and S-series desktop chips will receive a free copy of Star Wars Outlaws. This offer will be available through authorized partners like Dell, Lenovo, HP, Acer, Asus, MSI, and Razer, ensuring a wide range of Intel-powered gaming systems will be eligible.

"Star Wars remains one of the most iconic cultural touchstones for PC gamers around the world," Chandler noted, "and combined with the world's best gaming performance and robust platform features of our latest Intel Core HX-Series mobile processors and S-Series desktop processors (14th Gen), we're looking forward to making the best possible experience with Star Wars Outlaws an Intel-powered one."

This collaboration represents a significant coup for Intel, as the company looks to cement its position as the go-to choice for PC gaming. The optimization work done alongside Ubisoft's development team could give Intel's 14th Gen chips a tangible edge over rival AMD when it comes to running the open-world Star Wars title.

Moreover, the game bundle promotion will serve as a powerful incentive for PC gamers to choose Intel-based systems when upgrading their rigs or purchasing new laptops. This could help Intel gain ground in a market that has seen AMD make steady inroads in recent years, especially in the enthusiast and high-performance segments.

As the gaming industry continues to push the boundaries of what's possible on PC, partnerships like this between Intel and top-tier publishers will become increasingly crucial. By working closely with developers to optimize their engines and unlock the full potential of the hardware, Intel is positioning itself as an indispensable partner for delivering the cutting-edge experiences that PC gamers demand.

With Star Wars Outlaws poised to be one of the most ambitious and visually stunning Star Wars games to date, Intel's collaboration with Ubisoft could pay dividends in the form of a truly next-generation PC experience for fans of the beloved franchise.
